Levy.....£6m per year

how can he justify the amount he pays himself, when his top players, the people that contribute to the on-field success of the club, are being screwed (relatively of course).

particularly as he is the part owner of the club. if you are the owner, you grow the club, that is how you increase your wealth-not by paying yourself big dosh. Bill Gates at Microsoft paid himself $1 per year -i believe, and the growth in his wealth came from the growth in the value of the company

Levy should be doing the same.

Levy getting paid this highly is a direct result of us doing well.

He has contributed more than anyone to where we are now.

On that basis, definitely.

No offence to the OP, but using the theory he used, it pays not to be the boss/director/CEO etc because when the money comes in due to the team that work beneath you, you’ll pay them all more than you as they did the legwork

Levy can pay himself what he wants, he is the boss, and he also owns quite a large chunk of the club.

I`ve no problem with the boss being paid more than any of his employees, even though with bonuses some of our players are probably on more anyway.

There’s not a chairman of any business or company globally who earns less than the employees who work effortlessly day in day out to make the company who employ them successful.
That’s the business world we live in.
Levy deserves his pay day, good luck to him

Levy hasn’t got £6m per year, this wage is based on performance related bonuses over the past two years. Fairly standard practise in most big companies.

It has a number of target areas, including position in PL, qualification for CL, profit margins, return on investments and delivery of stadium building targets.

How did he pay his bills on $1 a year.

He sold a little of his stock.

Ted...............................a little of his stock would have netted him around £500m

He also faced huge taxes on anything he took as actual salary, all his "earnings" were in stock options which attract a much lower tax liability
