I’ve seen Liverpool live once this season and throughly enjoyed it

Me too.

I am living in Cornwall and used to go to a few games each season when I lived in London normally away matches. Chelsea, spurs, Fulham etc.

I have supported LFC since I was 7 (now 42) as my grandad supported them.

So do I now have no opinion on them?

Been an LFC fan all my adult life, since the days of KK and Crazy Horse. Get to a few games each season.

I have to say, that in comparison of the two games at Anfield this season against City, the January PL game was unbelievable. The atmosphere, especially when the wee man pinged the fourth goal into the empty City net almost took the roof off the new stand. What a night, better, in my own view than the 3-0 spanking the team gave them last Tuesday.

City are a great club, they played their hearts out in each game.

But we were the better team on the night.

Pathetic when there are 15 clubs in London to chose from.

You supported Liverpool because you were a glory hunter nothing to do with your granddad.

Granddad ffs not even dad. If your granddad supported Doncaster would be you be following them??

And why not support the club your mum or dad followed?

Yeah because i am going to go back in time and ask myself these questions. My parents aren't into football nor my brother. I just remember sitting watching liverpool with my grandad.

In cornwall we have Truro City (which i have no interest in) and my local town team (which i watch when i can).

There nearest EL team is Plymouth and I do follow them and have seen them many times over the years.

I have just always supported Liverpool cause grandad was from there and into football.

I still play once a week.

So yeah if that makes me a glory hunter and pathetic then so be it.

Fair enough. At least you admit it.

I take my daughter to Chelsea (a 2-mile walk) but would be happy if she supported Brentford (a 1.5 mike walk from her school).

You can’t beat supporting a local side with your mates, beats following a club on Sky all day long

United fans laughing at supporters who don't live near the ground are laughable as their club is built on these sorts of fans.

Nobody supports Spurs outside of London because they are overshadowed by two far bigger local clubs - hence they can't fill Wembley so that's why they are bitter about it.

Strange comment seeing as we have filled Wembley plenty of times this season (Utd, pool, Chelsea, real, Arsenal, juve)

Not really bothered if our fan base isn’t diluted outside of London, I’d rather not have fair weather twaaats following our side.

I grew up watching the utter dross served up in the 90s and early 00s but I’d find the idea of changing to have abandoned Spurs and supported a more successful side repulsive and unthinkable.

This makes sense.

But as this thread shows its Spurs fans who keep on going on about other clubs, especially Liverpools, non local following.

It seems some Spurs fans wear the fact they have next to no outside support as a badge of honour when really it's more of a disadvantage in mordern football. Same goes for Everton fans.
