In a break from the normal match thread razzmatazz, I’d just like to mention a unsung hero of the season which may go unnoticed to the less educated fans / dinosaurs. In a season where just about every other player get a mention for POTS (and rightly so)
Ladies, gentlemen and Bute, I give you Mr Ryan Bennett
A player most hadn’t heard of before his switch from Norfolk to the midlands and spent time on the bench early in the season whilst ‘others’ got their chance to impress Nuno. However, this guy has brought stability and defiance to an area where we looked vulnerable at times, and has become comfortable playing the delightful system we excel at today, not to mention his tuff competitive style.........and let’s not forget his goal at Brizzle!
When voting for POTS, don’t forget this Wolf

Oh Bennett done well and the best option we have to partner Boly, but his passing is weak, and although he tries to carry the ball out of defence he is no Boly.
In the Prem we will need better, sorry Bennett, but if we have real ambition, you and a few others will have to make way.

Bennett will still have a part to play next season. It just might not be as big as it was this season.

Ryan Bennett has been one of the surprise success stories to me. I am good friends with a Norwich season ticket holder who was surprised we signed him as he was getting a reputation as being error prone at Carrow Road but he has certainly been steady and reliable for us.
I am sure he was brought in just as cover with Miranda and Batth expected to be ahead of him in the pecking order but he has forced his way in on merit.
Do wish people would shed this old fashioned mentality that all we need for the Premier League is 11 players and that this player and that player wont be good enough. Next season like every season at least 20 players will get to start in games and how they then do will determine how many starts they get. We will have a squad of 25 and I am sure Bennett will be one of them. I wonder how many of the current Burnley, Leicester and Bournemouth players that have played their part in getting those clubs to good Premier League positions would be considered not good enough for the Premier League
