This summer will be a test of Fosun's ambitions for the club and Mendes' intentions (which have previously all been about making money). I believe Fosun will want him to stay and to built on what we have.
Ultimately though, we won't know how Neves, the club or Mendes will respond to a massive offer from a big club unless we get one. There are plenty of examples of players saying they want to stay and then leaving when an offer comes.
Time for Fosun to sell their vision.

Remember last summer when Jeff said under no circumstances would he be selling Costa. He was true to his word, although I'm not sure we actually had any offers for him.
Surely Jeff';s going to come out and say something similar with regards to Neves. His investment in the club is just about to start to reap rewards so why would he want to sell his greatest asset - unless someone offers him £85M, of course.
I'd still turn it down, but then I don't need the money

This of course is the flip side of the Mendes relationship, one which I'm sure our friends at Leeds and Villa would love to see happen. JM can press for deals away from Wolves if he feels they have a better chance to reach their potential away from the club.
At the moment, I only see Neves being in that category, I doubt we'd keep him at the end of next season unless we'd done something incredible like win the league. If we completely flop next season then there's a few that we could make money on with a view to re-building from the stable, Costa, Cav, Jota, Coady, Doc & Baz. Not that I think it will come to that mind you, but I don't think a 7th - 10th place finish will be enough to tempt Neves to stay or persuade Jorge to start looking to get him a deal

Just counted that we have 24 players out on loan at the moment.
Of the senior players there's probably only Connor Ronan that has a serious chance of featuring in the squad for next season.
So there's going to be a lot of work over the next couple of months to move players on or find loans for the ones that need games to develop. Mr Thelwell is going to be a busy man.

I don't think Fosun have sanctioned the purchase of any players to simply make money from that aspect alone. As part of a master plan to take the club to a high level, and benefit from what comes with that, yes.
They are shrewd investors, and the bonus is that they get to combine that with football, and a fabulous brand, to boot.

The popular rumour is Neves to Liverpool this summer with Talisca coming to Wolves as replacement. But there will be lots of speculation about Neves in the coming weeks and months. If he were to go then Talisca would certainly be a good replacement. More of an attacking midfielder than Neves he has been a huge success at Besiktas the last two seasons with double figure goal tallies and plenty of assists in both the turkish league and champions league

Another player being linked with Wolves is Jack Wilshere who is out of contract in the summer so available on a free
