In a temporary deviation from overtly premature wrist slashing. Monday's first assignment is imagine you're a hoof ball merchant, a la Stuart Pearce but with talent.
You and your club are then brought by some mysterious elite rich consortium with a HQ in the Cayman Islands, they want to keep you on instead of opting for one of those fancy foreign tippy tappy managers.
With all the riches in the world what would be your best hoofball team, using current players only.

Valencia..Hummels...Koulibaly....Ghoulam.
Wanyama..Vidal....De Bruyne....Kolasinac.

............................Costa.........................
Kolasinac might be a bit slow for left midfield but if we're hoofing he doesn't have to run as much so can hang back and let Ghoulam overlap. Hummels or Chiellini was a hard call but I've gone with the slightly younger option on this one. De Bruyne is maybe a bit too creative but think he is still useful enough in the tackle. Between Costa and Zlatan for the coveted number 9, Costa just gets it for me. Ronaldo isn't a hard man but think he'd handle the hoof better than Messi. Potentially Vidal and De Bruyne could be too attacking but if Wanyama can step inside and Kolasinac I think it could work, we could buy Kante as well though for the bench I guess. Ghoulam again isn't a hard man but for when we need to stretch the game with some width he's the boy.

I'd like to see that game when time travel is invented.

Outstanding concept 2W. Unfortunately I only know about speedy, brilliant, Scottish footballing wizards - who appear to be no longer in favour at our club.......

I put Chris on the bench for you Heb I think this team would give him a anew lease of life. Anya might struggle with Ghoulam though alas.

I’d have picked me too.

Not cultured or cultivated: an uncultured brute.
Personally I like you for who you are though Vidals and you do have Hummels behind you to help you with your manners, taste and I'm assuming education.

The Wimbledon team is a maligned somewhat as Arsenal in the 80s probably played more long balls than any other team. Don Howe's tactics were keep playing across the back until the opposition came forward and then hoof it over the top.

In hindsight that Wimbledon team doesn't look too bad.
