No CL Qualifier for Prem Top 4

Morning lads

Don’t know if this has already been posted but as well as having new kick off times, UEFA have now also confirmed that the top four from England as well as Spain, Italy and Germany will gain direct qualification into the group stages.

The qualifiers weren’t overly difficult but let’s be honest, teams can do without it and it’s 2 less fixtures.

Finishing 2nd in the Prem now offers no more benefit to those in 3rd/4th unless you consider the possibility of playing for the Charity Shield should The League winners also pick up the FA cup.

I also see confirmation of the early kick offs. Some matches will start at 17:55 - I’m not a fan of that at all.

2 less full price fixutres?

anyway it hardly matters.

2nd is the first of the losers as arsenal proved 2 years ago. it means nothing for the next year,

All that matters is were you in the title race or not and nobody was. 4 clubs were close for a good while with city way out in front and arsenal tailing off.

Everyone has to improve for a title challenge next year.

There is a benefit finishing high as possible as those clubs as I believe get a greater share of the income per game. So teams that say finish 2nd in groups stages will receive more money per game then say someone who finished 4th.

They also outlawed keepers from picking up a back pass.
