Tipple Tip

Watching Derby sober has always been a challenge so I’ve employed the services of a large hip flask. It came with a smaller hip flask and funnel to reduce spillage. I filled the big one with a nice port and offered a swig to the chap next to me who declined suggesting a Jaeger as an alternative. Now this will be a trial and error but I’m willing to go for suggestions. After all it’s more exciting to unscrew a hipflask than watch Gary’s team.

Suggestions please so long as it’s not Baileys.

Reasoned suggestions are always welcome.

I don;' wish to be picky. However, The Macallan is a thing of awe and wonder, but one to be savoured by a fireside after dinner.

Too subtle and demanding for the demands of match day. Hence the more robust Islay's

I always fill mine with buckfast (tonic wine) made by the Benedictine monks of Buckfast Abbey, Devon. The bloke next to me never refuses a swig.

Some good tips there but mainly whisk(e)y.

Buckfast - niceone.

I've got a nice Metaxa for a cold day.

Cold weather tip. Berry Bros. King's Ginger. Expensive but Edward VII took it to fortify himself before driving so it must work

I’m thinking something swigable in the big flask and sip able in the smaller one.

Might just stick to the port in the big one

Had the same thought, vodka and (insert mixer)

I know you said no Bailey's but add in brandy and you have some double trouble but tasty.
