Time to talk about something other than Puel and people not being rascist.
I’ve got my phone on charge so I can finally read the Leicester Mercury site without my battery running out in seconds. What did I learn? As well as finding plenty of singles in my area and the cure for hair loss, I noted that Spurs are sniffing round Gray and Musa has done something good in Russia.
So, let’s debate whether we should keep two very different players at our club who for me, have failed to impress at all so far.
1. Musa. You’ve got to love a trier, and boy Musa is a trier. His attitude is the polar opposite to Gray. He’ll do whatever you ask him and he’ll do it with enthusiasm. Problem is, he’ll be rubbish at it!! Or will he? He’s had a couple of moments in Russia where he’s looked good again. Is it just confidence, is he really a player that isn’t just a sprinter? I think maybe he is, as we’ve seen glimpse against Barca, Everton and not for CSKA. But for me
Sorry Musa, I love you, but you’re not made for the prem.
Verdict: Sell at the right price.
2. Gray. What an enigma. A boy with all the ability in the world yet no ability to influence a football game. Looks to sulk around and is a firm believer in his own hype. Too much so many would argue. But all the raw attributes are there. No one can argue with that. It’s just whether he can actually turn that in to match day performances. I hate Gray, I won’t pretend I don’t. I find him self entitled and ungrateful to our club and the fans. However, there’s still a bit of me that thinks he’ll really come on in the right role for him and if we sell him now, he could come good if given more freedom to do his thing. If Mahrez goes, we may need that.
Verdict: Sell if his attitude is wrong, keep for one more year if he’s willing to wait, learn and give his all for Leicester.
Worth debating? Yes or no to keeping Musa and Gray?
Summer will be a very interesting time. For the first time since our title win we could have a complete overhaul of our squad.

why would we get rid of our best midfielder?

Iborra, to slow to sideways, to old can’t stand riggers of the English Lge, how many games he played?

A couple of years ago then yes - now there must be better options.

He isn’t - Wilf is

True, I always forget about Wilf. No idea why.
One of our best then.

Musa joined at a pretty bad time to be fair. We had just won the title. The squad disharmony had started and Ranieri was beginning to unravel - attending less training sessions (due to his mother’s health) and then changing things at the last minute before the game.
Musa is a confidence player which can make the difference between him ripping United to shreds in the CL (which he did) or having the first touch of an elephant.
When he joined he was shoved out wide and wasn’t really integrated with the team. At the same time, teams had started to put 10 men behind the ball so he was denied any space. And our midfield was performing abysmally. His confidence just faded away
The loan spell has been great for him. Back in his no.9 role, looking threatening, looking very quick. But he won’t work with Vardy, they’re too similar - time to sell

In terms of Gray - he can’t fill Mahrezs shoes which is a problem. Different player. We either use him as a Mahrez replacement or put him on the left and sign a replacement for Mahrez (if that’s even possible)
Trouble with that is that our effectiveness in midfield is too heavily reliant on Albrightons defensive work - which Gray doesn’t do
I think he will leave in the summer. I also think that in the right team he will become a very good player but that team isn’t Leicester.
