Vulpes. Talking of groundstaff, I noticed that after the game last night, they were mowing across the pitch by the halfway line rather than up and down the pitch as they usually do.

I also have heard that the owners want Benitez.

Steve Bould in his coaching staff. Bring in Steve Walsh (junior) alongside ................. the back 3, 4 or 5 would be like steel.

Bowstring

Not 100% but mowing like this can prevent grass blades from laying down in the same/similar direction. It allows air through the grass blades to enable good growth.
But they know better than i do why they do this.

How much do top Managers earn these days?

The same as a top Footballer?

Would he earn more a year than say Vardy or Mahrez?

Not far off i don't think?
Managers, good ones, are catching up fast. In the Prem anyway.
This is why people wonder and ask why top ex-players don't cut their teeth in Leagues 1 & 2. They would be paid say a grand or 2 a week. a bit different from the £40k a week they earnt as a player a few years ago.

Just wondered what ridiculous figure would attract someone of his calibre, Rafa's out of our League as well but money talks.

I reckon Rafa would come here if the Newcastle takeover goes t!ts-up. We have the clout.

Seems Wenger is on £11 million a year, so Vardy and Mahrez put together.

There is no chance of Leicester getting Benitez and Wenger is out of the question obviously!

Benitez wants to make Newcastle top 6 again - they are a much bigger club than Leicester, much bigger fan base and have the potential to get there with the right investment. Leicester just don’t have the pull or the historic attraction that Newcastle have.

Best we could hope for is Marco Silva. Even Dyche is beyond us now

Think it was an article in Sunday Times. Benitez wants a project. If Newcastle don't back him guess he will look elsewhere.
