Don’t get me wrong as far as the football man Arsene is concerned, I think he’s single handedly changed the English football for the better!
An exceptional footy brain and a track record that speaks for itself.
However with only Europa league to play for which is they must win now the only way the club could get into Europe’s elite tournament next season CL, why announce your departure now?
Surely Arsene could’ve waited few more days to avoid affecting the players?
Now the players know he’s not the boss next season, would they even bother to go out and perform at high levels and try to win the Europa?
I cannot see it! This has been a suicidal act to disrupt the team moral and season by making it known he’s a goner?! No pun intended
Is this a desperate act from the Arsenal club pushing their greatest ever manager off the cliff or has Arsene had enough and is chucking it on?

Wenger probably has a job offer for next season,and from a top club for sure.

People close to him have frequently said he'll always be a hands-on football man.
He might probably take a short break to gather his thoughts, but the offers flooding in will be too hard to turn down.

I think this move actually gives them more of a chance in the EL.
The atmosphere for his last European home game next week will be raucous, players playing their heart out for him.
I had them down to get steamrollered by Atletico until now, now i give them a chance.

I can only imagine the board has announced now with our final home game in mind on May 6th. It doesn't leave long to arrange a "send-off"... particularly if its a hurried/apathetic one on the back of a Europa League exit.
Now is the right time to announce it.
