This tag will unfortunately be our Motto and I have said on many occasions on here that I fear we will end up being the best team that never won anything. I just knew we wouldn't win this cup and even if somehow we made the final , we would of 100% messed up the final and lost to Chelsea.
Honestly last night was the last straw for me. I was at Wembley and I think that's the last I'm going to invest my hard earned money for a while. Why bother if all Spurs do is make me miserable when I go to these sort of games?
Call me plastic supporter I couldn't give a sh**. I am still so seething with these bunch of bottlers that love to give it the all in the media, but never actually deliver when it truely matters. You have Dier beforehand saying how much they want to win. Vertonghen a few days ago saying how we want to make this Wembley advantage count and win the cup. Same old s** from our players talking it up, but never actually achieving anything when we arrive towards the finishing line or a chance of real progression.
United players pretty quiet throughout this week, but difference is they get the job done when it matters. They were pretty average yesterday, but the difference is they have a winning mentality running through that club as a whole, where as Spurs haven't got a winning mentality bone in their body. United have a winning mentality with big winners like Sanchez. Spurs have a bunch of guys with great talent who don't have what it takes to achieve anything.
Chelsea, Arsenal , City, United And even Liverpool all have that winning mentality which see's them regularly win stuff. Liverpool maybe not so much, but they still have won more than we have in recent years.
Spurs = epic failures.
8 fa Cup semi final losses in a row and I have been supporting Spurs pretty much from the start of that, as I was to young to see us win the fa Cup in 1991. Absolute pathetic stat. Worse than our Stamford bridge hoodoo even.
Sick to death of this club letting me down all the time. All to predictable and pretty much called it ages now, but you always have just that little hope that Spurs just might prove you wrong for once. This club ain't winning anything soon boys, until good solid investment is going to made from the board and Levy. I'm talking about Poch being backed with a world class signing, not some young 20 year old with potential.
This current team are nowhere as good as some like to make out unfortunately and people need to get it in their heads that it can be improved. The stupidity on here where certain individuals are saying Gareth Bale wouldn't improve us is a reason why we don't win f** all. A player like Bale would of done something special last night like Sanchez did for United. Anyway rant over, sick of these bunch of no hopers!!!
The best team that never won anything

Absolutely fine, mid table mediocrity is pretty good when you have a premier league trophy in your cabinet. Trophies is what it’s all about at the end of the day.......
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s got you there. Imagine being a Spurs fan and trying to dig out Leicester City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s easy.
One anomaly, then back where they belong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What you mean is, when they had a rare chance at a title they didn’t bottle it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like you did this season you mean?
Too soon?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, not like we did. Not unless you’re including yourselves, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in that bottle job, because nobody has contested the title since November.

I thought the Premier League trophy was in the Man City Cabinet. You may as well say well Spurs have got two league trophies in the cabinet, three European trophies, eight FA Cups, and Four League Cups if you are going to harp on about the past.
You can hardly have a pop at Spurs when the pee all over your club for trophies won in the past.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Harp on about the past? They won it just 2 seasons ago.

Agree with all this, Don. As I said in the other thread we should aim to bring in some winners into the club, of genuine quality. Whether that's a Bale or someone else. There aren't as many excuses not to do this with the increased revenue. Looking at unknown wingers with potential from mid-table French sides, or top scorers from the Dutch league isn't going to stick anymore.
By all means look to signings with potential, but bring them in with players who are the finished article if you can.

Spurs have won twice as many Titles as Leicester. Now put that in your pipe and just go feck off and support your club, that nobody gives two hoots about.

I said that in 1959 when Burnley won the league, after Spurs had led practically all season, and Spurs went and won it the following year.

Don, I'm with you on this. I feel the same way. And I'm tired of feeling the same way!
But I'll tell you one thing .........
you'll be back next season spending your hard earned money because .......
you're a true Spurs supporter. Yes, a real mug!
And "hope springs eternal".
In the old days Spurs did used to win things, like the 1950/51 team.
Lets hope the club gets sold to a Russian oligarch, or a Chinese billionaire!

Spurs were always big outsiders in those 2 title races. You always felt Leicester City and Chelsea were going to win it easily. Those title races felt similar to Man City this season in a way as you knew unless Chelsea and Leicester City bottle it they would win the league.
