Apols if u saw this post already, Posted on wrong article
I like Poch in terms of what he has done in terms of getting rid of the deadwood at the club and his development of young players BUT ..... He's been at Spurs for 4 years and quite frankly with the team that we have had for the past 3 years with the French National Team keeper & Captain, The best two CBs in the league, the 2 best FBs in Walker & Rose (at the time), 2 of the best young attacking players in Europe in Dele & Eriksen and a goal machine in Kane ..... For him to have not won a thing (even league cup/ FA Cup/ Europa league in my mind is a failure
I get the whole thing about changing the ethos of the club but that means nothing to me. No Trophies, Still bottle the big games, still are not competitive against the big teams (esp away from home). I really don't like his obsession with the Prem & Champions league at the expense of the Cups... I think that's a cop-out & way to take pressure of himself as there no chance of us winning either
I think Klopp is showing him up right now. I'd like to see more passion and more creativity in the way he plays it... I think he's one dimensional in the way he manages... never a decent plan B when things are not going well.
I think his stats/ progress at Spurs are a little misleading as Arsenal have been in decline for years, Chelsea have been a basket case, United in transition & City/ Liverpool really only kicked into gear under Pep & Klopp this year... Leicester took advantage of all that & won a title with less talent than Spurs. I think Poch hides behind all this "project" terminology ... I think its all BS... Go win a big game on the big stage when the pressure is on. So far he's failed to do that
Overall indifferent, granted I cant think of anyone better right now so I hope he stays for the sake of continuity but I think the media love fest with him is OVER and so is mine... Time to deliver & live up to the hype
More Press chat re him replacing Zidane ( that story writes itself at the mo..... but If he goes to Real, so be it. Doesn't really get a ton of credit in my mind if he goes there, spends 500mln this summer & wins La Liga. Im my mind he will have achieved nothing more than the likes of Redknapp... Just younger &cooler with fancy foreign name
Is Poch Overated ?

I really can't take much of what you say seriously LLM. You were fully against Pochettino managing us and had several comments that were negative towards him. And you're wrong again with that post.

I gave up listening to him a long time ago. Talks a whole heap of garbage in his posts and then disappears when he’s called out on what he said.

Agreed. Also, Bielsa Burnout?? Pretty sure we won more points than any other team in the second half of both of the last two seasons, and this season have only lost once in the league since mid December. That's not even a thing, just a lazy stick to beat him with.
There are some fans that didn't want Poch, then wanted him out early on. Then, sheepishly got on the bandwagon when the rapid progress started happening. And now, despite our continued good position, using the first sign of bother (failure to win a domestic cup) as leverage to push him out. We as fans should be on a united front as we close the doors on wembley and go home to WHL. We're straring down the barrel of CL football in our new 62,000 seater stadium - apparently that's not good enough for some, only the league cup will do

You can't argue with idiots. Short-termism is endemic in every aspect of modern life. Football is no exception.

Give it the big one in the media all the time beforehand, but fail to deliver when the going gets tough.

this is standard spurs.... remember back when all our players kept yapping that we were better than arsenal, and kept losing out to them in the league?

I will repeat what I keep harping on about on here until I'm blue in the face. Until Spurs go out ( Bald c** Levy) And backs pochettino with a world class signing , someone of high quality that will change the dynamics at Spurs, we are forever going to be nearly men that win f** all. Unfortunately the club don't operate that way.

oh look. don is on levys back again. I suppose that you wont have any interest in going to the brand new massive state of the art, probably best in the world, stadium that he has built us next season then don?
get off his back for fack sake the club have made huge strides forward under his leadership, and he has made significant money available to Poch in his time here! (sanchez for 40 mill last summer is a good example)
