Radrizzani, who was chief executive of MP & Silva until 2014, retains the nominal title of vice-chairman but is understood to no longer be involved in the day-to-day running of the business. However, he does retain a minority stake in MP & Silva, which has 20 offices worldwide and a turnover of more than $600m.

Bit of a click bait headline. Hasn't been CEO for 4 years now according to the article.

True, but it also says "The AGCM said that it “suspected that the intermediaries have, since 2009, put in place behaviour that would alter the outcome of the proceedings initiated by Lega Serie A for the allocation of TV rights to view football competitions in territories other than Italy”.

So who knows what they might be investigating.

Idea for a TV show. International law enforcement cops track a football club owner as he tries to launder large sums of illegally gained sporting rights cartel cash through a government owned Burmese bank.

No mention in the headline about the others involved.
21st Century Fox's subsidiary Fox Networks Group, and Ziggo Sport, the Dutch subsidiary of Vodafone and Virgin Media parent Liberty Global.
All much bigger and globally better known, but then anything to do with Leeds Utd is always worth a headline by most media sources.
Good job we're not famous anymore.

If the guy made over £700m from selling some of his shares in 2016, why the hell isn't he putting a bit more into the club?

It's not as though he's skint.

One wonders how any potential charges might affect AR’s status for the fit and proper test criteria.

Following the commitment made in March, as a result of some concerns raised by a number of Championship clubs, the EFL has met with Wolverhampton Wanderers to ensure compliance with the requirements of its regulations.

At that meeting, a request for information was made by the EFL and following a comprehensive review of the detail subsequently provided by the club, it has been determined that Mr Mendes holds no role at the club and, as such should not be categorised as a ‘Relevant Person’ as defined by League regulations. On this basis there is no requirement for him to submit to the Owners’ and Directors’ Test.

As part of the discussions the club has been reminded of its continuing obligation to keep under review the status of both existing Relevant Persons, but also any other individuals who may at some point acquire the status of Relevant Person, and advise the League (and, given the recent promotion, the Premier League) accordingly.

The EFL would like to place on record its appreciation to the management of Wolverhampton Wanderers for their help and assistance in resolving this matter within a sensible and appropriate timeframe.

The EFL will be making no further comment.
