Alderweireld and Rose for Martial and Shaw?

Absoloutely not never strengthen a rival.
If City did not get walker this year they would of struggled at right back, defensive wise they would not of been the same.
Shaw is awful i see him twice this season for the under 23's and he is not good enough for this football club nowhere near.

Toby shiiiits all over Sanchez (nothing against him, just young and much to learn) we have gone backwards in a vital area of the pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously he had 7 years on him and tbh different type of defenders
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah well why would we want to downgrade
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What you mean would? It’s already happened
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well a 21 year old over a 29 year old that has played most of the season over one that hasn`t don`t look like much of a downgrade to me. No brainer that the 21 will get better, whilst the 29 year will get worse.
Toby was OK, even good, but Spurs still only got Top Four with him, Spurs are going to get in all probability Top Four with Sanchez, and have lots of decent years out of him to come.

hengyalthough i'd like someone a bit more experienced to come in at CB to replace him, who has better positioning and anticipation than Sanchez does, and that wouldnt come 'cheap'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stefan de Vrij is available on a free from Lazio this year. Same height as Alderweireld, similar playing style, plenty of experience in a back 3 for Holland, good on the ball, captained club and country on several occasions.
Makes too much sense, it'll never happen

I don’t know why we never make any moves for good free transfers. There are usually 2 or 3 every season and we never seem to be in the mix to get them. Find it very odd.

Don't want Shaw because he's always injured
Martial is a fantastic young player. He would eat into Son's game time tho which could lead to him leaving

We’re stocked with wingers/inside forwards/number 10’s now. Nothing wrong with looking for improvement and upgrades but that’s our strongest area of the pitch. It’s the defence and CM that’s of a far more pressing need

We are but if Martial is available we have to be all over him.

I've been saying that for months!
What I cannot understand is why Pochettino won't play Toby in matches he really does want to win - like the Semi against ManU.
Toby is so much better in the air and at positioning than Sanchez.
With Toby on the pitch I think Aguero doesn't get his header for their first goal.

Sorry, Alexis Sanchez not Aguero!
