During our run in up until the Semi-Final, we can see we had an easy run playing teams that we should have beaten. The first instance of us coming up against a 'quality' opposition we buckle, whilst we played some real quality throughout our CL campaign.
I think the fact Poch is attitude towards both of these competitions is clearly visible. We scrapped past to the semi-final playing some easy opposition whilst our performances in the CL despite getting knocked out, was so impressive.
I think we are at a crossroads now and we are at that stage where we need to pick up a trophy. I wish MP's attitude towards the FA cup would change as we as a club and MP as manager really need some sort of silverware. Despite not winning anything this year (should be used to it), I still have full faith in MP and what is going on at the club, but we need to instil the attitude that every trophy is important, especially for a club like us who have not won anything in over a decade

We are a good team but we haven't won a trophy since 2008 so although I agree we do win some big and important games (in league and cups) we don't win enough of them or win them when it really matters.

At least we can say we've beaten the two finalists this season and the two most likely CL finalists too.

Defining a big game is all subjective, but I’d certainly say we’ve won a few since 2008. At the same time, all of the cup losses haven’t been games that really matter.

Yes and of course there are those who would argue that securing our top 4 spot is more important than last Saturdays game. So alot depends on whether you put trophies above finances?

Its a very delicate position and as a fan its frustrating because we want the trophies but we also want champions league position. I get a bit torn because I want the elusive trophy but not at the expense of a CL position. I guess this is joy of being a Spurs fan, we always have the best journeys to the destinations we never seem to get to

If I'm honest the cl is where I'm at. Don't get me wrong I was very unhappy to lose the Chelsea and Utd semis but I got over both of them fairly quickly. When we lost to Juve I had a dog on my back for days.

Don't believe the media hype with regards to that comment regarding the importance of the FA Cup. That was just to take pressure off the players. Anyone that saw him celebrate that Alli goal will tell you he wanted it, big time. Plus the 'head in hands' moment when Herrera scored showed he was utterly crestfallen about not getting to the final. He wanted. He knows how important it is. It's all smoke and mirrors. Even his post-match comments were spoken in a passionate way. Don't doubt his intentions.

I don't doubt that Pochettino wanted to win that ManU match.
What I do not understand is why he will not pick Alderweireld to play instead of Sanchez.
Does he really think Sanchez is better?
Or has there been some dressing room barney we don't know about?
I think with Toby on the pitch Alexis does not get that header for their first goal.
