In a Strange way...

...Do you think this season has been a blessing in disguise?

My point is the wheels came off so spectacularly since the turn of the year and every bad decision that could have been made was or pretty close to it , but we have avoided relegation even though at one point freefall looked imminent.

The upshot is Radz has experienced, in such a short space of time the wrong way of going about things but very quickly is getting a second chance - starting off with having done the right thing 're Pablo.

Do you feel he will now endeavour to get it right such as serious investment to back the manager?

Please for the purposes of this thread lets avoid anything related to SE Asia.

I see where you are coming from. I also sense that at least on a public front, Radz is keen to have the fans onside (unlike Bates and Cellino).

However, he comes across as being stubborn. He's been badly advised this year and he should know that the way to go is proven quality over unproven quantity.

We will know by his first few signings whether he has learnt.

JLA - might be true, Steve Parkin possibly.. I've approached some guys who tried to buy the club a couple of years ago to open up a joint venture. If that goes well, I might suggest having a look.....

I'm thinking pre-season in Syria. Lots of construction planned I believe, fastest growing economy in 25 years time blah blah blah.

Stevie, seems like the valuation of the club is 50m, not sure if that includes or excludes ER, I expect it includes it.

How many people would you need for that size investment? Who would be the chairman/managing member?

LAFC, the newest MLS franchise here in LA has many owners, maybe 100 with a 1% share each, including many celebrities. They have gotten off to a good start for a brand new club and I expect to go to one of their next home games in a brand new stadium near downtown LA soon. Will be interesting to see how this ownership works.

Interesting indeed. We have a project on the go at the moment where we've deliberately courted investment from several different parties simply to a) manage it better (I can handle 4 parties better than 1!) but also b) increase the scope of opportunity into other sectors.

The guys I'm referring to are huge property owners and have some synergy with our core business. The amount of money you are referring to is a drop in the ocean for them, I think their asset base in excess of £1 billion. They've also just launched a couple of other businesses, one of which is awash with capital.

Often wondered in recent times if this Multi party / fan Investment approach is the best way forward based on recent incumbents being unable to avoid controversy or having limited funds for a club of this size and potential for the future.

I wonder how long it'll be before we hear from Red Bull again!.

It's an interesting thought but probably a nightmare waiting to happen at Leeds United. We have a fair cross section of fans on JA606 who probably have one area in which we agree; that we are all Leeds United fans (even then I have my doubts...). I don't believe that beyond that there are any two posters who actually agree on anything more than three views.

To make it work you'd have to appoint representatives to represent your wishes and then its a bit like politics, they say what they need to say to get appointed and thereafter its very much their own opinion that counts!

The bit about fans agreement was in the back of mind especially the harmonious bunch on JA606 !

Where has this happened before, who did it?
