Dunno about you guys but I'm still pretty convinced that a back 3 is our best defensive set up
With all the talk about Rose/ Toby etc. Id put it to bed once & for all even if it comes at financial hit.. so
1) Come to agreement with Toby and get him back involved
2) Sell that rat Rose to United and take Shaw and cash in return
3) a Back 3 offsets the obvious weaknesses that the likes of Trips, Aurier & Shaw have defensively and allows them to play to their strengths (Much in the same way we did with Rose & Walker 2 years ago)
4) Back up defensive options are still in place with Foyth & Dier capable of playing in a 3. Davies is solid defensively and can also play in 3
Further forward I would go all out for Sessignon, we could have the "next Bale" on our hands & would like him & Moura to get minutes if sonny is having a clown shoes month & if Dele & eriksen's form drops off.
If Sissoko happens to "Do One" then all the better
No idea who's gonna fill the Dembele shaped hole in CM if he goes. Perhaps Lamela could be given a try there alongside Victor or Dier ? I think he has the work ethic & an eye for a pass.... Maybe someone could teach him how to tackle & what that thing on the end of his right leg is for over the summer

I don’t even want Andre Gomes. No problem with buying players from clubs who want to leave to play football, but they actually need to be able to play well in the limited time they do play.
Granted, he’s had issues handling the pressure at Barca, but without being harsh, a lot of our fans are saying we need players with a strong mentality to help us take that final step. He doesn’t sound like he fits the bill.

I may have spoken too soon about Sessegnon. Maybe he will leave, regardless of any Fulham promotion...

I wouldn’t go near him. Was alright at Valencia but he’s been really poor at Barca. Besides he doesn’t really excel at anything.

Sergej Milinković-Savić is who we should be after but could be loads of bigger clubs in for him i would imagine

apparently we are in pole position for sessegnon but for like £50mill couldn't we sign a centre mid and find some full backs with that money

I would have gone 5 at the back against utd.
I said it before the game and I honestly think we would have run if Toby had of been playing.
Most of us hate Mourinho but to be fair tactics wise he is pretty clever and he would have studied exactly how we played.
A change of formation just before the game could well have totally ruined all his preparation.
