Magic Moments

since relegation from the premier league all those many many long long years ago, what are the things, or in which moment have happened that still make you proud to be a Leeds United fan?

The first game of the -15 season in League 1 was Tranmere away and a thrown together team/squad were galvanised to come from behind with magnificent support to win. I went from thinking that we could end up in League 2, to having some belief in a matter of minutes. Unbelievable!

All good memories from everyone. I have specific match highlights but again, its the loyalty of the fans that really make Leeds United special. Also...., is it only me that wells up when MOT gets sung at the start of every home game?

I was Ascot that day and to my wife's annoyance all I did was check the score.

I'm one of the old duffers that grew up watching Revie's team Stevie, but I can honestly say, I've seldom felt prouder to be associated with this great club than I did at the final whistle at Tranmere that day!

good thread thanks guys, see we can all agree on some things lads

oh Jonty, yeah the snoddy penalty, totally agree - I remember hurting my hand as I jumped up and smashed it on a chair - as a middle weight boxer, that injury didn't go down to well at the gym

That would make me an old duffer too then, Leeds United proud since 1967. I think that's half the problem, I can still remember (probably won't in five years' time my wife reckons.....) the days when we were the best.

2nd Oct 2007, Tuesday night at Oldham, most immense atmosphere, singing "15 points, who gives a ..." for the very first time, and the way the players and subs reacted. That whole first season in League One when all the fans came together to make sure the club didn't go out of existence and the huge boost it gave to the whole club despite Bates was the proudest I have been. Even watching back the Play-Off Final, we had the chances to hammer them, but we never took them. It happens.
