We football fans are Fickle as feck.......
An example of where i'm fickle is: I could not understand why a fair percentage of United fans wanted Giggs to get the gig at their club over Jose.
But now my own club are being linked with a guy who's managerial CV includes the Champions League and Spanish League and here's me saying (and meaning it) that i'd prefer Jody Morris was given the job over Enrique.
So Fellow Chelsea fans, if there were only 2 guys on our shortlist and either would happily accept the job, who'd you choose out of Morris or Enrique?
Enrique or Morris?

and what was jose mourinho famed for before he came to us? Jody has our youth playing excellent football. He also know who if any are ready to make the jump to the first team many are screaming about.

Is that a serious question? done a fantastic, out worldly job for two clubs before us.

No, Morris can't possibly stay with u18's another season.
Won every possible trophy at that level in 2 years (with different generation of academy players), playing progressive dominant football, mentally and physically preparing them into perennial (resolute) winners breaking records. Overqualified for that next season. Really pleased Morris has managed to clean up his act after shady past.
Got to progress (I'm not sure u23 has enough competition to fulfill the next stage)...
Lampard being fast-tracked into first-team coaching capacity with no experience & qualification doesn't sit well with me (even if he is arguably our greatest and/or most successful ever player), whilst Morris has had that unprecedented success coaching.
Lampard starting at youth level would be a good first step into coaching/management for him (once he has completed coaching badges & acquired licence), as a precursor to this...Lampard has been watching & involved in training u18's occasionally on a part-time basis + seeking advice from Morris going into coaching.
The only thing going against Morris is he doesn't have the allure or reputation of a Pep or Zidane, but that can be built over time.
So yeah to dismiss Morris as a candidate at least is wrong, snobbery in my opinion.

Watch his side play tonight (ITV4) at Emirates against Arsenal, 3-1 up from first leg

False. The fact he has zero experience at professional level as a coach goes against him. The allure thing is valid too, but can be overlooked for the right candidate (e.g. someone like Jardim comes to mind)
Working in a coaching capacity, even as a manager, at youth level is much more about the coaching aspect of the game. The step up to professional level is much more all encompassing, and Morris hasn't even experienced traces of it (never coached first team players, been an ass man, etc...). It would be an absolute punt in the dark, won't happen and shouldn't happen.

Yeah nonsense point about allure tbh. He should start at pro level at either assistant or lower league.

You've got to start somewhere and eventually make a (high-profile) name for yourself.
What experience did Pep have as a coach at (senior) professional level prior to being appointed Barcelona manager?
Of course Morris being appointed isn't likely to materialise at all but would be a hugely impressive (risky) direction to take if it were to hypothetically happen.
Knows club inside out, new direction, modern ideas, long-term vision.

He managed Barca B who are in the equivalent of the championship.
And he was a far superior player. And it's done differently on the continent.
Massive differences.

Different case completely. Barca had a structure in place for 10+ years prior to appointing Guardiola. Had coaches prior to Guardiola who operated under the same Cryuff philosophy, everything about the club was consistent from youth to professional level. We have none of that right now.
Plus, Guardiola since has proven to simply be an outstanding manager. The fact his successor at Barca B is the subject of this article representing the typical overhyped manager just stresses how much of a one off Guardiola was.
