Here we have a young lad who will be 21 in June and in footballing terms, has had very little professional game time considering his age.
Most posters on here were screaming out for the club to get strikers in at the start of the season, but despite rumors of us getting this or that player, all we got was Bonatini, who to be fair started off very well, but will probably be returned to his parent club, as his form had dropped considerably.
In January we bought Mir for 1m quid or so and he featured in two league games (off the bench) and played in both FA Cup matches against Swansea. His last appearance in a Wolves shirt was in the 1-6 defeat to Villa in an U23 match, back in February.
He came to us from Valencia and in the first half of the season, scored 15 goals in 19 appearances for them in the Spanish 3rd tier.
For someone with so much potential, I for one am staggered that he hasn't featured much since we bought him. Granted, that with the arrival of Afobe, he has moved down the pecking order, but I would have thought he could have least had game time with the U23's. The only way to assess a player is by giving him game time against some kind of opposition. I'm not sure if anyone knows who he's training with.
It's been said that he's "one for the future". But if he can't get game time with the first team in the Championship or indeed any game time with the U23's, how's he going to get on in the Premier League?
Is going out on loan the best way forward for a player who has actually played in the Champions League and the Europa League at an early age and why hasn't he gone out on loan already? Not playing any kind of football since February surely isn't doing his confidence any good.
The owners are preparing us for a great future and I'm sure there will be top class strikers on their radar worth more than the 1m we spent on this lad and if we keep either Afobe or Bonatini, it still has Mir way down the pecking order.
Has anyone on here actually seen him play and if so what are your thoughts?

You do it Oldie, you’d certainly make a great host

Reading way too much into it Wolfie, we needed a striker and when he arrived we didn't have a back up so he was that guy, he inevitably dropped down the order when Afobe arrived, the end.

Don't think it's a mystery why he hasn't featured for the first team, however it does seem very strange, if it is correct, that he hasn't played at all for over 2 months, unless he's also injured.

It could just be simple speculation, he has a certain pedigree and for the price was worth a punt.
Might come good, but more likely they figured if he doesn't make the grade he will have a reasonable resale value.
Win win for the club.

DJ. His first appearance was as a sub (17 mins) against Barnsley where he came on for Bonatini. His second was as a sub against Forest (12 mins) and he replaced Neves, Bonatini stayed on the pitch. He played in both the FA Cup games when Nuno put out a virtual second string.
So I still can't understand why he wasn't on the bench more. Something just isn't right Imo.

So, according to those who've posted so far, he's going out on loan, he was a speculative purchase, he will not feature for us next season, it's very unlikely he'll ever feature for us, he looked promising, he's far from ready and hopefully he's around for pre season. Oh and he's one for the future.
Sorry, not buying it. So why isn't he playing some kind of football for us?

Maybe we'll see him on Sunday at some point.

He was part of the presentation and celebrations on the pitch after the Sheff Wed game. The mystery only exists in your befuddled mind

Probably on the pitch because he was given the #9 shirt when he arrived. Maybe in your expert opinion, you could explain to all of us, why he isn't getting any game time at all.
