So when Liverpool win....

...the CL (I'm considering the worst case scenario here) which team's board will find it harder to stomach?

As a United fan the one team I don't want to win the league is Liverpool. Simply because they have more League trophies than anyone else, barring MUFC. So they are the challengers to the throne. I don't want that.

They sit on the throne regarding CL and another win cements their place deeper and makes it difficult for MUFC to become the undisputed champs of England. Instead of only holding one belt.

** Stomach rating 2/5 - even if Liverpool do win and go 6-3, we can still shield ourselves with most Twitter followers, 20-18, most fans, De Gea v Karius, bigger ground, Dab kings, biggest sponsorship, Jose Mourinho, etc



Everton have dealt with this for years barring one rosy patch in the 80s. Are Everton still contorting themselves at the thought of yet another trophy for the club whose shadow has darkened Goodison for decades? Doubtful.

Rewind not so far back and Tottenham were threatening to look like the real deal, no question about that. Lots has been made of the rivalry between Spurs and Liverpool on here, so it may be that the Spurs fans have a sweaty brow and dry throat as the final approaches. Swallowing a load of Scouse wallowing isn't going to be easy with them symptoms. Get yourselves a drink......of something strong.

**** Stomach rating 4/5 - I fckin enjoyed the banter between Spurs and Liverpool fans on here last season and this. It was a fair scrap. Tottenham had enjoyed the better recent seasons in the league, although trophyless. Liverpool had the history and the new manager thing still in effect. But when they lift this CL, I'd stick a hefty whack on them at the bookies. Consider it lubrication. If you don't start next season flying, it won't be a fair fight anymore and I'll lose a certain amount of pleasure from this site. You fought well Tottenham, but it might be down to the big dogs of Manchester to take down the behemoth Liverpool.


And to have big dogs, we need small dogs.

Manchester City lost the CL this season when Liverpool came to town. So they lost to the eventual winners. Should be easy to handle. A "congratulations" or a less sincere "you were better ON THE DAY against us" (if you're a still a little precious about it) and you can move on.

Chelsea and Arsenal come as a couple in this rendition; as, if you believe a few common rumours, they both play EL next season. With that in mind I don't think they'll have a very good appetite and will struggle to hold down anything Champions League

***** Stomach rating 5/5 - As my old friend Julius Caesar once said "always look to the positive". Considering you are both jettisoning managers that are polar opposites: one wants out faster than a mother in labour, the other wants to remain faster than a mother (or most others) in Labour. But whatever the managers' leanings they'll both be replaced and that is something for you both to look forward to - Star Wars 9........, I mean a NEW HOPE - with a new manager comes a new hope.
