I wasn't specifically speaking of lagers, more that in the world of beer in general stella wouldn't be seen to be strong, and was surprised that that other poster felt it would be getting someone hammered that quick.

As far as lagers go, I suppose 4.5 to 5.5% is the average.

Well, no. if 4.5 to 5.5 is average, then the 4.8 you stated would be on the weaker side.

But it was never about lager, its about 4.8 considered to be strong, which I don;t think it is.

I absolutely detest the fecking advert, makes me want to throw hard, blunt objects at the TV everytime I see that shandy drinking Tw@ with a bottle of American pi$$water in his limp wristed hand.

I'm dying to see someone drop a crate of Stella in his lap and say Dilly Dilly that and see if you can speak after the first two!
