Santi...
It appears he hasn't been offered a new contract but has been making progress with his recovery from long-term injury.
Is his skill such that he should be kept for another season (whether pay as you play or other) or is his last injury as well as his age such that he should be moved on this summer?
"Should I stay or should I go?"

Too fat, should go and play in a pub league with Charlie Adam and Danny Rose

Did he not say recently that he wants to return to football in 2019?
If that’s the case then we can’t off him a contract. Club should still help him get back to full fitness and offer him a new contract in January if he is physically able to play PL football again

Lots of comically one-footed players with heavy touches have come into the squad in recent years. From the goalkeeper, right through to our forwards.
Worse still, a number of the kids coming through seem to exhibit similar limitations on the ball.
I think a year of training alongside Santi might yet redeem some of them.

How can you waste money and a squad position on such a risk?

He’s back in first team training now. Would be good to see him given 10mins in a match this season. Probably too late now though. If he’s on pay as you play, and we’ve got enough squad space, then could be worth keeping him. But as good as he was, it’s not worth having him im expensive of a fitter younger player

Presumably Cazorla's being assessed by the coaches now as to his long term fitness capabilities - frankly that's their job.

Obviously. But that isn't the question.
