Charity Abseil

Hi guys. Hope you are well.

I am abseiling down the Forth Rail Bridge in a few weeks time, to try raise some money for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. Any small donation would be welcome.

Thanks!

Best of luck LMC

I’ll try remember to donate tomorrow.

I’ve done abseiling in the past off cliffs in Wales and it can be terrifying that first step off

See people who say, I'm gonna abseil/parachute jump/bungee/zip slide/tough mudder etc for charity. Nah, you and everyone else who does this stuff are doing it because it will be a fun thing to do and you want to do it anyway.

I can kinda see your point but what you listed aren’t exactly sponsored silences they are real challenges for some.

I’ve been fortunate in my life that I’ve done most of these things or similar so I know how much of a challenge they may be for mere mortals

Thanks Murnetti.

I can see Castles point. Yes there is an element of wanting to do the challenge. But my mum has had a stroke so raising some money for charity is just as important to me.

At the end of the day, if people want to donate, they can. If they don't then that's fine aswell 😊

It's a very good cause and making an effort, any effort to raise money and awareness has to be good.

Hope your Mum is able to make some recovery

My mum is doing fine thanks. Thankfully she still is able to function and go about her day to day life. 😊
