Net Spend since 2014

Man City - 496 million
Man United - 417 million
Arsenal - 166 million
Chelsea - 119 million
Tottenham - 50 million
Liverpool - 18 million

To take a team that got thumped 6-1 by Southampton the season before and couldn’t score a goal to save themselves and couldn’t defend if their life’s depended on it to a Europa League final, back to back CL qualification and a CL final spending a grand total of 4.5 million per season basically sell to buy policy in my opinion is a phenomenal achievement. Klopp might not have the trophy haul the likes of Pep and Mourinho have but what other manager in world football could turn a club around with that kind of competition above and achieve what we have? No one.

I just think it was debatable but yes we agree that very small margins can make one place difference in the league. If that's enough to be definitive for you then great, cling onto it.

If Liverpool win the CL then it will be a fantastic achievement, no doubt about that.

If they don't, then you're just the 4th best team in England.

Deluded.

Win or lose our Champions League campaign will bear many rewards for us.

We will sign better players, keep our start while Spurs struggle to keep Harry Claim and their manager lol.

If Spurs were in a CL final, they wouldn't be tearing at the seams. As it stands now, Spurs foundation pillars are doing the funky chicken having neared the end of a cycle without even a Charity Shield win.

If is definitive enough to determine a few things:

Champions
European places
Relegation

We were the 3rd most effective group over 38 games.

Liverpool were the 4th most effective group over 38 games.

Where Liverpool can count themselves lucky here is that they had an actual home ground to play at.

An unbeaten Anfield season (like we had at WHL in 16/17) got you very close to overtaking us.

Luckily for us, even playing home games at Wembley was not sufficiently debilitating enough to see us drop lower
