How does he seem arrogant busby? If anything most people label him as timid and doesn't have the confidence to push himself to the next level.

Courtois i can understand the arrogant tag, but Hazard comes across as a great guy with excellent character, excuse my Brendan Rodgers!!!!

It is funny people who knock hazard, yet he has fired a fairly poor team to two league titles, whether as no liverpool, arsenal or spurs player has, and utd player for a fair few years too.

Being the most important part in two league titles is very impressive.

You had me completely agreeing with you in this thread until this comment. Hazard was part of two every efficient teams that one the league. He may have been your main creative spark but there were plenty of major contributors. Not least the footballer of the year last season, Kante.

Back to Hazard; my personal opinion is that he’d walk into any team in the world. He’s got fantastic ability with the ball at his feet, he’s quick, strong and will weigh in with goals and assists. I think perhaps people are slightly down on him because of the start he made at Chelsea. The first dozen games as I recall, he looked absolutely out of this world.

If I were to make one observation on him is that he seems a bit of a confidence player, as many in his position are. When things aren’t going well then the shoulders seem to sag a little. He still puts the effort in but there are games when you watch him as an opposition fan and think ‘it’s not his day’. Other times you watch him and think ‘oh, we are f...ked’

He has definitely not been at his best this season, but to say he has had a bad year is not correct either.

His form from October to January was brilliant, probably was the reason the cracks in our side were less obvious. His inconsistency was probably more to do with the defensive setup we use, which offers him little attacking support. Expecting him to carry the brunt of the attack throughout a whole season is ridiculous. Even the most consistent attackers this season like Salah and Messi are in attacking setups which give them a platform to perform week in week out.

So often this season I've seen him produce a nice pass only for the other attacker to completely screw the opportunity. Or he will make a run only for the other Chelsea player to screw up the pass. At Liverpool, City, Tottenham he would not have to play with such incompetent attacking players.

He's a very good player, probably not top 5 in the world, but he deserves much more credit than he gets. We give Kante credit for the role he gives, we should do the same with hazard too.

As for overrated - it's probably the stupidest word in the football vocabulary. The guy received as much credit as he does criticism. Azpi and Kante can be regarded as brilliant players, often cited unanimously as underrated, and world class, but with hazard we treat him differently?

He really is not arrogant...his only crime at times is trying to take on too much when a simple pass would be the right decision
Better support around him would be the answer...Fabregas isn't it
