That 3-2 game at Ibrox - 1st half

Just watched the first half of the 3-2 game at Ibrox there, and it's hard to believe it was the same bunch of rangers players that put those performances in for the 4-0 and 5-0 games.

It's well documented now, but the defence is where we were let down so many times. And missed chances of course. Not to mention lack of leadership on the park and in the dressing room. Scoring 5 away from home at Hibs and not getting all 3 points sums up the team this year. Ie , the defence undermining all the good work the midfield and strikers did to get us the lead in games. Unable to close out games to half time or full time.

The point of this article is to re state that there is definitely ability in a good number of players in our squad currently. The acquisition of some sensible signings by Gerrard that can add quality and leadership in key areas such as defence and up front especially, hopefully will be a good foundation for us to have a decent campaign next season.

Getting arfield in is a good start.

Having Gerrard and McAlister in the dressing room also is hopefully going to help.

Looking forward to getting rid of lots of dross too , such as most of Pedro signings and some of the other non fancied squad players such as moh and cardoso etc if they are not cutting it.

It should be an interesting summer, what with Gerrard on board, squad freshening up and the world cup.

Any idea when we play our first euro game and what round is it we enter? Is it the 1st round, or the 2nd round we enter? Are we seeded?

Also, when does pre season start?

Good OP Oz, have 4.

One deducted for a failure to mention that the subsequent downturn came after the undermining of Murtinho, the man who took you so close to the brink of something good that day.

Good point show, murty was doing a half decent job until after that result. It was all looking good for him until the 45th minute and browns punt up the park to dembele.

And King's announcement shortly afterwards that he was looking for a new manager.

The funny thing was Broony was trying to put it into row Z until he was barged off balance and he hooked it up into the penalty box

I don’t think so

Eric Sviatchenko is a bigger name
Stuart Armstrong
Dorus de Vries

I’m sure most names are bigger
