Not football related but have seen plenty of articles in the past about shall we say the polarising nature of the FOTB machine in betting shops, government has decided now to reduce the maximum bet from £100 to £2 a spin, I've played on some of the games on there before (pretty much just roulette actually) and that's basically the only game you see most punters play on there, peaking over their shoulder as they lay 40-50quid bets down a spin, will capping that at £2 a bet mean a end to these machines? is it a good move by the government?
admin can you multi board please

I'll make it even better. You give me £1k a week for 100 weeks, and at a random point I'll give you £75k back.
Deal?

No, of course not.
If I can give you £5 per week and have the chance to win £300 every week and the majority of the time in a year come out around even but with a single payout, I'm in, Mr Strawman.

its ok though because they may or may not get a payout from the machine within the year so that buzz will be worth it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know about everybody else but I always win at least once in a whole year. Even if I didn't however, I'd still do it for the buzz, it's only £5 a week which you don't notice going out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds like a crap buzz.

Well, yes, to me it sounds like a crap buzz - that was the point. I just can't see how anyone could get a "buzz" over risking losing a fiver - isn't that the point with gambling, the worry of your losses and the potential of your winnings. If you've reduced it to what you yourself refer to as some kind of savings account where the only risk is less than the cost of a pint, where's the excitement?
For a real "buzz", introduce some real jeopardy, bet your month's mortgage payment next time.
You're welcome.

Well you don't get a buzz over the potential of losing a fiver nor do you worry too much, its only a fiver. The buzz is watching how your bet is doing and watching it get closer and potentially winning.
That would involve having a bit of fun though. I suppose you don't do entertainment? Cinemas, bowling, playing cards, watching football etc as you don't get anything back in monetary form. Heaven forbid you had to risk losing a fiver to have a bit of fun.
Your mortgage logic is crap. I don't want to risk anything substantial, that's not where the buzz comes from.
You don't get it. That's fine but don't preach to those who do. We all have our own choices.

I guess that's true as I don't see the humour here.
