A number of Leeds United players have been called up for international duty over the summer.
Defender Pontus Jansson has been named in Sweden’s 23 man squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia. Sweden will play two friendlies against Denmark and Peru before embarking for the tournament. In their group they will come up against South Korea, Germany and Mexico.
Goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been selected in the Northern Ireland squad for the first time alongside winger Stuart Dallas. Michael O’Neill’s side are on the road for two friendly matches against Panama on 30th May and Costa Rica on 3rd June.
Eunan O’Kane has been picked by Martin O’Neill for the Republic of Ireland’s two friendlies. They face France away on 28th May, before entertaining the USA in Dublin.
Yosuke Ideguchi has been selected in Japan’s preliminary squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia. They have fixtures against Ghana and Switzerland, before the squad must be reduced to 23 players.
Tom Pearce has been called up by England’s Under-21s for the first time, for the Toulon Tournament. Fellow team-mate Ronaldo Vieira is also on standby.

How many more Irish youth internationals are we gonna have. They never seem to cut it at Leeds though.
