Kante carried the midfield.He got subbed after 46 minutes against Ireland in the second round and didn't start another game after that.

Not a single person has said Pogba was 'good' at the Euros in 2016.

But you did claim Kante 'carried' the midfield when it turns out he hardly played. More evidence as if it were needed that your judgement when it comes to Pogba is not worth the time it takes to read it.

You also claimed he was 'atrocious'. So atrocious that the player you claimed 'carried' him was dropped (for whatever reason and barely kicked a ball in anger beyond the group state) and the 'atrocious' player featured in every game with one exception.

Pogba also played deeper in a two. Not his ideal role as we all know. Is it just possible that he played a more subdued role in the team and therefore didn't standout in the way people expected, but simply went about his instructions with a little less fanfare? Is that remotely possible? Seems not unreasonable to me.

Perhaps, he was playing under instructions that hindered him. Probably the same instructions every manager gives him by the sound of it But you do seem to try and find any excuse to back him, when it’s clear for all to see he’s not performed to anywhere near as good as fanboys like you make out. I see a very talented player, who lacks the intelligence to be a top midfielder. He’s been here for 2 years and has been average at best.

He is indeed.

To describe me as a “fanboy” is the obvious resort of someone with no argument. I’m no such thing. We’ve seen the best and worst of Pogba and everything in between, of that there is no doubt. But that’s also true of our other attackers.

So anyone who wants to assess things a little more scientifically would be asking me why *all* of our attackers look like inconsistent imitations of their former selves under different management.

Not only that, but this ‘individualistic’ approach to our attacking play is something that people (myself included), highlighted as a feature of Mourinho’s set up, particularly evident in his second Chelsea stint.

It’s weird. Myself, TRC, TRS and Mex were often accused of having a huge agenda against Rooney. And I can see why because we highlighted his flaws in the team for years, despite him being a legend. But this is next level agenda against one of your own players. To the point you’d lie about a sub carrying a team ti the final to make a point.

Pogba was shiiiiite at the euros but Kante definitely didn’t carry the team.

Sissoko was boss at the euros, even though he’s shiiiiit as a player.
