anyone who thinks top 4 is better than FA cup win is kidding themselves.
no one associates arsenal with CL success and yet they were there every year with nothing to show for it.
but what they do have is a bunch of FA cups that no one can take away.
silverware over participation every time.

I think the fans of both clubs would happy to swap places.. I think Spurs need an FA Cup win more than them & they probably need CL more than us... Not a disaster for either by any means but both probably missed out on their biggest goal.... I get all the stuff about cash from CL for the new stadium but I think most spurs fans would rather have had the FA Cup than CL

The heart says swap and have the FA cup.

The head says we need CL football to improve the standing of the club.

Most Europeans could not even name a cup winner of another European league.

Most Europeansbwould remember CL knockout games though.

Clubs such as United and Chelsea have years of growth in the bank, so a year out here and there does not affect them. We have it all to do.

At the end of the day, the CL spot is far more important to the club at this time. Not even close

The league cup is one of the only three major domestic cups on offer in English football.

Oh and how long have Leeds been in the Champuonship, must be coming up to two decades now. Enjoy.

In the short term top 4 is the better result. Means more money and a better chance to secure better players. In the long term unless we are to be serious contenders for the CL then the FA cup is the better outcome. Chelsea can afford a season outside of the CL, so winning the cup is ok for them. With a new stadium to paybfor can we afford to have no CL for a number of years?
