Just watched his last game for Barcelona, just how good he was as a football player he always seemed to me to be an even better individual?
He dedicated his World Cup winning goal to a friend who had died and who also played for their city rivals, anytime I heard him interviewed he seemed a classy bloke👍
I mentioned the other day how players like Tommy Burns, or Ray Wilkins were players who it was difficult to dislike even though they played for your rivals?
Any other players like that you can think of?

Never mind Messi and Neymar etc., Iniesta and Xavi were the beating heart of Barcelona when they were totally invincible.

I would rate Iniesta as a better player than Xavi, although only marginally. Both are wonderful players.
For the national team, the underrated player in that midfield was Xabi Alonso. The three of them together were just sublime.
