Since Manchester United beat Chelsea on penalties to win their third Champions League/European Cup final.
Not a fan of either team, but still have great memories of this match. With it being the first all English club final and all that.

I'm trying to cheer myself up today so:
The last time United lost an FA Cup Final before this season was back in 2007 when we lost 1-0 to Chelsea.
A few days later Liverpool lost a Champions League final to a team in white.
A year later United won the CL.
Straws and all that.......

Inzhagi was probably offside most of the game too I bet!
Funnily enough you were much better in the final you lost than the one you won!
Thought we'd blown that 2008 Final but somehow managed to avoid losing a game where we should have been well clear at half time.

Champs to chumps and its cost us over a billion.

It really is quite staggering how bad our transfers have been since that final, in that only DDG could be viewed as a top quality signing.

I'd add RVP to that VC but the point is a sound one. For all the money and prestige we have our transfers haven't set the world on fire at all.
I think we really do need to go for a DoF after Jose leaves who is responsible for setting our agenda, in terms of style, and who recruits accordingly.

Ten years ago, wow. I was at Uni in Liverpool then and a few of us went over to Manchester and watched it in the Moon Under Water in Deansgate, best atmosphere ever, the scenes were insane, the place was a mess at full-time.

Losing the fa cup final hurts less then a european final. The Europa League win felt so great.

That Chelsea midfield had some real talent, I used to rate Essien as a top scare back then, but then he got injured.
