Shout out to Monreal

The Nacho man finally got recognition by being selected Spain's world cup squad. Quote surprising, Marcos Alonso for one had a pretty good season and was recently called up to the national team but has been left out instead.

Also quite cool how Spain's official Twitter had Nacho from Madrid just before Monreal in the announcement.

From Chelsea's 5 Spanish players only Azpilecuetta has been called up which is also a bit of surprise. But probably none bigger than Bayern's Javi Martinez and Barca's Sergi Roberto not going. Usually players from the big, big clubs are first ones on the plane after the star men. Bellerin also not going, which is definitely deserved...

Talking of Spain, the new coach looks to be from there. Unai Emry has a solid record in cup competitions. We may actually win Europa League next season! He should also make us competitive in the league. The board did well to front Arteta all along, whilst they pulled Emry out instead.

Last but not least, the greatest Spanish player in Arsenal's history, Santiago Cazorla is leaving. A legend for sure for his exquisite free kick Vs Hull. One of the most talented to have played in Wenger's era. Don't think I'll quite see a better two footed player.

Morata has had a poor season, but I don't see how Diego Costa deserves a spot more than him.

It's all good. Nacho getting recognition at last, a decent new manager who is a safe pair of hands and with a lot of experience, just what we need. And Santi leaving, although sad, it's good he has made his decision.
With the new set-up at Arsenal things are actually...quite exciting! Happy days.

Each line - 'keepers, defenders, mids & forwards - is organised in alphabetical order.

The only anomaly is that Silva is ahead of Iniesta, but it could be because Silva's first surname, Jiménez, is sometimes spelled with a G instead of a J.

Not that surprised about S. Roberto being left out. He hasn't had a great season, and even though he's been at RB maybe 3 seasons now, I think many still see him as a midfielder who's being played out of position.

Love Cazorla, my favourite PL Spaniard. So sad what's happened to him, but oh well, there are literally billions worse off.

It's crazy how the likes of Alonso, Fabregas, Morata and Mata have been left out of the World Cup squad whereas England have far too many mediocre players in the squad, think that demonstrates the difference. Most Spanish players are sensational whereas most English players are very average.

Please. The Spanish have no grit or determination in their team. The England squad has focused, dedicated athletes. Spain are crap England will win the World cup

England are awful, this is definitely the worst England squad for 30 years.
