In theory gone are the days when there is only one option for a position, Pearce like all of the team needs competition for places and we should have different options to reflect the teams we will come up against.
At RB we have more strength especially if Lewie Coyle has developed, Coyle, Ayling, Berardi, Dallas.
Hopefully De Bock will give us options but if not Pearce probably isn't ready to be number 1.

Not saying he would be my first choice by the way.

Coyle had a very good season at Fleetwood, my father has a ST. But I don’t think he’s quite good enough for us.

Mike - I nearly mentioned those exact two as being possible exceptions, but thought it was still a stretch. I mean, suppose Messi got a taste for big macs?
