Exciting times

Not since the signing of Ozil or winning the FA cup in 2014 (take your pick, both were moments we had waited donkey years for), has the appointment of Emery created such a buzz. I'm not going to lie, I couldn't be bothered to watch much football this season, it was the same old BS but worse.

Emery's English is better than anticipated. A month or so till pre season starts, I'm sure he'll get even better. But main thing is how his philosophy is taken on by players. We don't have big egos like PSG do. A lot of the players in fact need to impress the new boss. He did say this squad doesn't need much changing. Not sure how much truth is in that. But now the signing of the coach is out the way, the trio (Ivan, Sven and Raul) can get to finding new players. It's interesting how 8 candidates were shortlisted, wonder who all 8 were. Emery as was always the first choice according to Ivan Gazidis. I think Allegri may have been first tbf. But that doesn't really matter now. Other thing he mentioned was that no one rejected the position, putting Arteta's news into bin.

Reports are saying that Emery sees Ramsey as the main man for this team alongside Aubamayang. So hopefully this gives Ramsey reasons to stay.

If he can have the impact of Klopp at Liverpool then he'll stay on for a long time, and certainly Arsenal see him as that sort. The season can't start soon enough!

Imagine having a manager who lost a game by 5 goals to Barca...

Good that his English is pretty good. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem, when poch first came to Southampton he couldn’t speak much English, he had to use an interpreter for his first season. Didn’t stop him doing well there. Also England gave the captaincy to Harry Kane, so not being able to speak English in football can’t be too much of an issue.

Great news for Arsenal, and cause for some genuine optimism.

You have to ignore the idiots in the age of social media, who are all football experts and know best. Keyboard warriors are always lurking.

People really need to stop digging out Kane for having a speech impediment.
