Good signing
Could help you close the gap on City to 20 points?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think you’ll get the same points total next season?

Think you’ll struggle to emulate it, personally. It will be incredibly difficult to maintain that level of form for two whole seasons. Other teams will be more determined to catch you up as well. I think you’ll win it again, but nowhere near as comfortably as this season.

Excellent signing

Love this signing!

We need a DM who’s very good in the air, athletic, tactically smart, strong and aggressive in the ya ole, good on the ball And with a solid passing range/ability going forward.

Fabinho & Keita will revolutionise our midfield in the same way Mane & Firmino did for our attack.

A good GK, CB and one more attacker for depth....then it’s on!

That's not even remotely approaching depth.

You need another 2 Goalkeepers, 3, 3 CB's, 3 attackers and more besides...

United and City are building squads with 2 players of equal ability in all positions, beating those two over 38 games seems a long way off to me.

Great addition though.

Talk to me about Uniteds Midfield and City’s defence. Two world class players in every position you say? Or equal ability?

We’ll be alright, United don’t have two David De Gea’s or two Lukaku’s!

City don’t have two Edersons. By your logic we’d have to be the most complete side in Europe to even compete. United finished a few points in front of ya and we had the CL to focus on. A bit more depth, strength in midfield (done) and a good GK see’s us ahead of United.....if we’re not already!

Building.

You are right, City need another Keeper, and a successor/competitor for Kompany. They also need a Defensive Midfielder, and another Winger.
All of which I expect they will sign this Summer.

United have more to do, but I see no sign of their spending slowing down.

Unless there is a change in (spending) philosophy, I can only see Liverpool falling further behind.

Thats the beauty of football though. Throwing money at a club doesnt ensure success.
Mourinho seems to have the ability to not improve players drastically imo, and buys 'ready made' players to fit specific roles/positions.
Looking at Man Us squad, personally I feel like they have massively under achieved.
Man U could come together for sure, but It is also possible the drab style of football repels some signings, and even causes some current players with lots of ability to leave.
City just seem to be a dif situation to United, as there seems far more harmony there, and Pep doesnt have the ego that Mourinho has.
Ive always said I think Jose was an awful match for United, but the fact theyve won trophies under him and fans arent happy, shows how far the other clubs outside City/United have to go.
Gonna be a great season I think. After a few years of decline I think the league is on the up again.
The average team is much much stronger in the league imo and it will continue for some type I think
