City

These guys mean business, Mahrez and Jorginho is top top business. Jorginho for £42m as well ffs, this guy is so highly rated and they get him for a bargain in today’s climate. Reminds me of us when we won the title, Fergie always got on with it and got signings in early.

I'm not even sure you can call us a well run club when we engage in transfers where we either have no re-sell value and are very short-term in nature.

A need for a director of football is imperative.

Also, how are we not doing what we did for Sanchez here? Jorginho would have been a brilliant replacement for Carrick.

But United’s revenue and brand has been up near the top for about 20 years. Hardly the same growth City have shown.

They’ve been ahead of us for six of the last seven seasons. It’s not just a case of them currently having a better manager than us. They just know what they’re doing on the football side of the game. And that to me, as well as their exponential growth off the field and their academy infrastructure, shows to me they’re a better run club than us.

But if you want to bury your head in the sand that’s you’re prerogative.

Unfortunately I’d have to agree with this. In football terms we have definitely lacked direction since saf retired.

Commercially we're the best ran club on the planet.

In the transfer market we're not close. We seem to have no negotiating power at all and always seemed to get ripped off for players yet Abu Dhabi Blues seem to get better deals than us for players and everyone knows their owner is minted beyond belief.

And then there's Chelsea who seem to get tremendous value for player sales all the time and we struggle to give players away for £5-10m.

Woodward has played his part in us being a huge commercial success but I think he's been an absolute disaster on the football side of things. He should stick to what he knows.

Well he is a Liverpool fan so naturally he wouldn’t want to see you doing well on the pitch.

Things do seem a little lethargic at the moment on the transfers front at Man U.
Apart from Ronaldo's mum wanting to come and play for you has there been any other progress.?

Slur Alex was always quick out of the blocks in the transfer windows. You got to admit it’s not been the same since..

The transfer window isn't even open yet you numbskull.

FYI...

Fergie bought and sold many players mid season and in the Jan windows and also very late in the the summer windows. He rarely did summer business early. Usually during the summer tour periods after the international tournaments.

And.....

Yes, he's a 'Slur'.

Hilarious.
