I see chequebook Pep is spending

another £100 million on two players. Mahrez and some player I have never heard of. Surely the time has come to slap transfer embargos on clubs, say maximum spend of £150 million over two seasons, no matter what players are sold. Also maximum wage for players needs to also come in. Say £150 grand a week.

The Prem is becoming so predictable with these sugar daddy clubs, the time has surely come to make it more of a level playing field.

What say everyone.

Salty salty sandy, your bitterness is without equal.

Have you figured out which players city have bought have been the most expensive yet sandy or did you forget after your 💤 nap
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nobody gives two hoots about your most expensive player. Just that your are a small club that won the lottery, and only the money is keeping you at the top. Suck it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are the one moaning about City pushing up transfer fees so obviously you give two hoots. What makes it better is that you haven't done any research and so look really silly. A 10 year old could have researched that. As has been pointed out, even before the investment City had won a League and a European trophy more recently than Spurs. Just suck up the fact that your team may lose it's manager but maybe not as Real prefer winners.

Thing is I reckon there are four (?) clubs in the Prem alone that have higher transfer records than City.

It is only the tax dodging owners that stop him spending. The money is there, ok maybe it should have been paid in tax but as they registered in that football hotbed the Bahamas (nearest Tube is Angel) they have the money. I suppose given the record they have of spending on failures maybe the money is best in the Bahamas.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Completely different points. I'm not talking about who does or doesn't dodge tax. People are just pointing out that your success is just down to money. City have the most, if not second most expensively assembled squad in history.

It really isn't Rocket Science and anybody who believes otherwise is a City fan.

City's squad is the most expensive assembled of all time.

How much is it worth though?

Mad isn’t it.

I bet we are probably the second most too.

The post is about City spending. Nobody is denying that they are spending. They are buying a winger who is proven in the PL, in fact is a PL winner so will cost more, and a DM who is performing well. Getting the 2 for £100m is not even close to crazy in this market if you want to compete for 4 trophies. Buying early is the key.
If you want to compete for nothing then please continue to get your buying done on deadline day to save a few bob. The definition of madness is doing the same thing again but expecting a different result.
