I really believe boxing in this country would be enlivened by showing some regular up and coming boxing on terrestrial TV. Something like the Friday Night Fights on ESPN - if it could have some British Boxing Titles shown, even up to Commonwealth level then that would be better.

I've been to a few boxing matches in the last few years following Josh Taylor up in Edinburgh and there is a real buzz about going and watching all the undercards as well. But what those lower down the pecking order really need is somewhere to really mix it up and get some followers. It would also help if promoters took a few risks with their fighters instead of trying to protect the 0 all the time.

I have to say McGuigan have been pretty good getting Josh on Channel 5/Spike for the most part up to now. It certainly can't have hurt for when he makes the move to PPV.
