In Austria now, Seefeld nr Innsbruck. A very quiet time of the year for tourists.
Weather in mountains is always iffy but here it's been a hell of lot better than the forecasts both BBC and others.
Good : Great scenery, fantastic beer (miles better than pi$$y English stuff)
Bad : A tad expensive ....but worth it

Vienna is regularly voted the most livable city in the world! Not sure how far Vienna is from where you will be based.

Day trips to neighboring countries like Germany etc may be good options too. I think Austria would be a great place to visit for 2 weeks.

Got to be better than 2 weeks in barlinnie.

Midge ure also raved about the place when he was in Ultravox creeping around with his dirty Mac ( before the days of Apple devices).
