Heading in the right direction

i have been keeping my head down i know you glum mongers have written us off and condemned us to relegation. As you did not get your way and the manager did not get fired.

So the players know he has the power to off them this summer if he wants.

Of course the usual the he is not worth that brigade, are out in force and keen to write off suggested players before we kick a ball and longer in Vardy's case.

Let look at the signings we have got since Puel joined us they have worked and now the DoF and the board are looking to recruit a number of players in position to replace those who's journey with LCFC is run.

My only concern is you guessed it goal keeper as Hamer (and he wasn't good enough ) Said that Kasper has legend status at the club which i translates to he's untouchable as both other goal keepers have found.

Credit for signing Jonny Evans? He was identified over 2 years ago by Walsh's team. You know, our best ever Head of Recruitment who you like to slag off.

Rudkin almost managed to pay £20m too much for Evans but fortunately West Brom helped us out by rejecting the bid - which was a ridiculous one given his release clause.

Even after triggering the clause, we have still managed to cough up an eye watering £500k on agents fees which is one of the factors that put other clubs off. So no, I won't be getting on my knees and praising Rudkin for this one.....

Just to remind you at how brilliant Rudkin has been - £70 million combined on Musa, Iheanacho and Slimani. Before you point the fingers at the recruitment team, they don't decide the price do they?

Wow, this article took a turn!

At least it’s got us talking and debating. And that for me can only be a good thing.

My own personal hope with a Puel is that his system was toothless due to the lack of attacking full backs and this will somehow change everything with Pereira and a link between Vardy and the midfield.

This clearly appears to be the plan!

My fear is we’ll start the season as toothless as we ended it, and Puel is sacked after 8 games and we spiral.

But, for me the way he can avoid this is to do what he did so well at the start of his reign. Be flexible and plan to the players strengths. Surprise teams with our formation. Play possession and then play direct. Sit back and play on the break, then press high.

We now have the players to do both. Puel for me can succeed if he doesn’t attempt to stick to a rigid 4-2-3-1 all game every game.

For me, his decision to do that or not could define him here.

Who called?? 😂
While it’s great to read opposite opinions, I wish that just once, BS would post something about the positives of being a Leicester city fan! My mood was pretty low by the end of last season and his posts weren’t helping at all! Luckily the pills seem to be working and I’m going to start the season full of hope and avid interest as to whether the Puel experiment is taking the team in the right direction.
As to whether the owners have a plan or not, I’d hazard a guess that they do and that it will be along the lines of, make the team as successful as possible and therefore as profitable as possible.... like most business plans I suspect.
I’ll support Puel in his endeavours to change the style of play unless we end up in a season long relegation struggle. To be fair, I spent the majority of last season looking up the table and only at the dreaded RZ out of passing interest. 9th was a pretty good result even if it could have been higher. Leicester city.....it’s like a box of chocolates, you just never know..... etc...

I’ve said before - you don’t have to read or pay any attention to my posts or comment on the fact you don’t like them. Just filter me if they bother you, it’s just easier. That’s what Miami has done, fair play to him he doesn’t have to read what I write anymore.

I’ve always been a pessimist, much like Mersey, even during the title win, right to the end, I was convinced we would balls it up.

The plan of operating a successful football club that makes a profit is every clubs aim. But not every club succeeds. The ones that do have a strategic football plan in place - how do they want to play, which manager suits that, do they build from youth or experience, are we attacking or possession based defence etc. How does the scouting system fit into that? What about sports science etc

The strategic plan implemented during Pearson and Walsh’s tenure was a blueprint for unprecedented success. I’m just not seeing that right now, that’s what concerns me

Hey cupcake,
🦊 Jonny Evans has completed his medical at Leicester City and is expected to sign for £3.5m on a three-year contract Just imagine holding out for £30m and selling him for £26.5m less because of a relegation clause in his contract! Bargain.

Both Man city and Arsenal offered more than your mate Rudkin oh and don't forget that player Musa is one of Walsh's targets.

As for the pearson plan that worked in the Championship failed massively in the premiership till he got over of his dislike of Albrightons mrs and picked him then Cambiaso inspired the team to victory.

You’re so clearly on the wum it’s not even worth a response. I’d expect better from Wahl if I’m honest

Well coming from you and your forays onto other boards you would know let me know when you ready to admit Rudkin does get somethings right

Ok, I’ll do that when you admit you were wrong about us sacking Sven and re-hiring Nigel Pearson - who subsequently achieved what no one managed to do in 10 years. Promotion to the PL.
