Conflict of Interest

Just a thought.

Say an international manager knew he was to leave the national set-up after the world cup, to join a club in one of Europe's top leagues.
And lets say he already had a talented squad, and one or two of the fringe positions were arguably competitive.
Instead of picking the most talented player for that fringe position, would a coach choose a player whom was also talented, but played for a smaller club and that he felt he could build a rapport with.
Perhaps he already has s relationship with said players agent.
And by choosing this young talent for his world cup squad, he might be in a position to sign him at the end of the summer, making himself an even more attractive prospect as a manager.

Just a thought mind, however bookmark and we'll see x
