Keep hearing from some LFC fans "Give Karius time, remember how bad DDG was when he was first at United"
From my memory DDG was a little shaky for the first 3-6 months and his troubles were dealing with crosses and not having the physical presence. Even at his worse he's never had a night like Kiev. United fans when did you see the basic mistakes go away?
Karius has just completed his 2nd season at Liverpool and while he has improved he is still dodgy as fek. He was out of his depth in the CL final and semi but people keep telling me we should keep him as number one as he will turn out to be the next DDG

Even from the get go with DeGea there was something about him that hinted at talent. He was really young looking and skinny then too, so he needed to mature physically. Just can't see potential in Karius.

DDG conceded a soft goal from range against City in the Community Shield on his debut, and then another against WBA where he could have done better.
Then we had to watch the ridiculous game straight after, where Harry Redknapp had Spurs shooting as soon as they got into the United half.
He wasn't too bad early on. One or two mistakes as most young keepers make. Too much made of it though and highlighted.
The complete opposite happens today, every f*cking save he makes is highlighted and made out to be a world class one that saves United the points every game.

He had the best save percentage in his first season of all the top 20 regular keepers and had a shocking defence in 11/12 season so he was already a great. Spiderman De Gea. Karius is nowhere near the level of De Gea. In fact even Mignolet is better than Karius.

De Gea was very young when we signed him and took a little time to adapt to the league. Plus he was targeted.
I wouldn’t say he was “bad” at any time at all, all things considered.
Not sure anyone will ever trump Schmeichel for me, just because of romance and other factors.
Let’s not mention Karius amongst demi-gods like the above. Not yet anyway.
