Great signing, well done recruitment team. And a special thank you to West Brom for not accepting our £23m offer last year
Welcome Johnny Evans

Positives:
- Proven in this league and knows it well.
- Comfortable with the ball at his feet.
- Price is fantastic.
Negatives:
- Can be injury prone.
- Behaviour last season was poor at best.
On balance, I hope he sees that he let himself down last season and has something to prove. As long as his attitude is right, it's an excellent signing. But that's an If.

Should work well with Jack Grealish then Dunge....!
Looking good, just need to get Beckford on the coaching staff and DJ Campbell as physio

Back to the post.
Evans is a great buy at £3.5 million. Top deal.
But top player? A player to take us to where the owners want us to go? Probably not. Not at 30 years of age. Although he has kept in good physical condition.
I was hoping for a no-nonsense centre-half who can play a bit. Jonny Evans didn't pull up any trees at WBA. We'll see. I do hope he excels here though.
