It seems insane to bring it in for this tournament. How many refs would have actually used It? The German and Italian set? May be Dutch?
I think that there will be some shambolic situations. I'm for VAR in the long run, but it should be rolled out once it's been in domestic game for a couple of years.

Agree. Refs around the globe should all be used to it at the highest level of the domestic game before it’s introduced at a World Cup.

I agree with GT. Too soon for such a high profile tournament, too many issues need ironing out first.

Any decision to confer with VAR should be announced with a massive blast of vuvuzelas.

Hopefully this proves once and for all it is a waste of time, if they want tech making decisions then goal line touchline are all good, tackles are objective it will never get 100% of decisions and it interrupts the play to a ridiculous level.

The refs will use it more and more and it will become a crutch and eventually the man in the middle won't make decision as there will be a team in the studio making all the decisions.

It's football, it's the greatest game in the world why do people want to change it
