I thought Marcelo was abysmal. He gave it away countless times through misplaced passes, miscontrolling, running into traffic. Marcelo comes across as something of a goofy manchild.

Not for me. I thought his distribution and decision making were poor and he left huge gaps behind him as he spent most of the game out of position. He was a liability yesterday.

Na played a key role in the goal and offered outlet all game, not one of their better players. But much better than neymar, willian, paulinho etc.

I thought Willian played really well last night which bodes well for Man Utd fans going forward

I didn't watch the game, but let me guess here. Neymar wouldn't pass to any of his team mates?

He’s great when his side’s on top and he gets the freedom of the left hand side, but he was a mixture of a defender that can’t defend and an attacker that can’t attack yesterday. He’ll have better days.

Marcelo wasn't at his best yesterday but it's not as if Brazil were particularly leaky in defence and constantly bequeathing chances created down the flank he was defending. His role is to maraud down the flank and the structure of the team is designed to cover the gaps that appear behind him. And when a team gets a bit disjointed and anxious, passes start going wrong - partly because a successful pass isn't just about the person who kicks the ball, but about the person moving into the right space and the players around moving to make spaces appear.
