Hi all!
I've been trying to get in a food fitness state and have been doing really well for a few months now. I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week all weight training and do cardio once a week.
But I'm away on holiday for 2 weeks now and I think I'm going to struggle to get to a gym certainly the first week..
What difference is it going to make me not going for 1 week?
Would it be ok to just do cardio this week or will I lose muscle mass?
I'm terrible with nutrition, is there anything you can recommend me eating in this time of no gym?
Any help would be great!

If you've been going hard at it lately your body will probably do well for a bit of rest and feel better for it after.
Just so some light exercise on top of the usual walking/swimming and don't eat sht all week and you'll be fine

It’ll be fine. Enjoy the break from it. You’re meant to take a week off from training every so often anyway to allow your body to fully recover

We recently went to Rhodes, and walked up to the Acropolis at Lindos, facking sweltering heat & very narrow steep hillside paths, uneven ground too. I would recommend it for someone looking to get some fitness during their holiday. If you get tired, you can hire a 'lindos taxi' which are actually Donkeys, that take you to and from the top of the hill for 6 euros.
I have heard rumours on this forum that they are very safe and reliable for transporting people on cliffs.

You don't lose muscle mass in a week ffs
In fact your muscle mass is fine unless you go into a catabolic state, which if you eat well shouldn't be the case at all.
Strength training for 4-5 times a week is a bit excessive. If anything the week off will give your body time to rest and repair muscle tissue. Just eat decent food when you can and make sure your protein intake remains to a decent level.
If you want to keep the fitness levels up during the holidays, do some basic exercises. Push ups, pull ups, or a quick run on the beach early in the morning.
You shouldn't need to take any BCCA's during your holidays. Just make sure you're well hydrated at all times.

Drink as much alcohol and eat whatever you want for your holiday, even if you're lay on a sun lounger all week.
Unless you're in some horrific banana boat/jet ski accident you can continue your work out routine when you get back, even if you take a few days to recover.
