So we get another defender then as well. What's the point of having creative players if they have to be centre back as well?

It's not that, even against a top side like Brazil he literally offered no support to Lichtsteiner defensively.

That's pure lazyness.

He didn't need it

I don't expect a winger to fill in at centre half. But I do expect him to form a defensive line in midfield and stick to it. If you can't do that, you'd better be really good and worth it, like Mahrez or Zaha. Shaqiri isn't on that level.

Also, does anybody else think that Shaqiri looks like a character played by Harry Enfield?
