Not many win in Stalingrad. Heil Kane.

First 20 mins were great, but that 2nd half certainly dampened my ardour.
Thank heavens we have a class striker

I missed the first 20 ended up directing traffic. Long story. Maybe I’m the reason we’re crap after all and not the fact that we are mutton dressed as lamb.

Lacking the quality to turn possession in to goals. Our one quality striker made the difference.

Enough creativity to create a lot of fantastic chances which is a break from tradition at least. They need to get their shooting boots on though. 3 or 4 of the misses were absolute sitters.

No negativity from me.

The best opening game performance from an England team at a major championships in my memory, by a country mile.

Tunisa are the best team in Africa and we made them look second rate. Tunisia were cynical, niggly, full of gamesmanship and apart from the extremely soft penalty gave no attacking threat at all. We not only had to deal with them but a ref and a VAR team who clearly were being paid off. they had to have been paid off because after reviewing the first Kane penno they say nothing wrong at all.
So through all that adversity we still found the heart to keep going and got the three points we thoroughly deserved from that excellent performance.
We missed a couple of chances but you can blame that on the midgies.
Heb will tell you all day long that it's virtually impossible to get a decent strike on target when you're under sustained attack.

Pretty much how I saw it Rameses. The VAR thing was an absolute joke. But you just felt it wasn't going to happen for us though.

Some of the ball control and 'finishing' was really poor so hopefully that improves and Sterling finds a comfortable spot on the bench.

Indeed. Who will ever forget the 1994 Eilean a' Fraoich Cup Final. 84th minute. Penalty awarded to Skigersta Utd. Calum Mackenzie ran up and completely missed the ball, so blinded by midges was he.

Match abandoned when the midges were actually moving the ball on their own.

Rameses

Fair assessment, I saw a lot of unnecessary criticism last night from what I thought was a decent performance for the most part, especially compared to some of the poor games so far. And to think they want to introduce more teams 😡.

Don’t get me started on VAR, although what is pleasing is that it is being shown up for what it is, a complete waste of time.
